Weekend Costs - Mis Amigos Retreat Weekend 7/12/19-7/14/19
There are two levels of fees – 1) “Young Child” – this fee applies to children 12 years old or younger. 2) “Adult” - Anyone who will be 13 or older as of July 12 will be charged the same fee. Thus, in addition to the “Registering Adult”, any additional parent plus any alum or teen will register as an “Other Adult”.
(E.G., a family with two parents, one 15 year old and one 10 year old would sign up for: 1 registering adult, 2 other adults and 1 young child.)
The young child fee is $130/person for the weekend ($130 now, no more payments). The adult fee is $260 for the weekend ($130 due now, $130 due Apr. 1). [Family membership in LAPA must be current, and all attendees must be part of the family membership.]
Unfortunately, there can be no refunds now or later as our contract with Pearlstone is already signed. This Payment 1 is due Feb 1 by 11:59 PM. Payment 2 will be due April 1.
Details– We have worked hard to keep costs down and ensure the quality activities. The cost of the weekend includes lodging for Friday and Saturday nights, as well as meals from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. We did elect to add Sunday lunch so that we all have a final meal together to make Sunday more of a full day. The cost of the lunch and access to the facilities that final morning is an additional $25 per person (which is already factored in).
It is not feasible for us or for Pearlstone to prorate fees if you if you can’t make it for one of the six meals or one of the night’s lodging. Our contract with Pearlstone means neither they nor we can adjust costs on a person-by-person basis given the large number of attendees. Thanks for your understanding.
To keep costs down, we are only having one outside paid person come help us. Federico – Mas Paz will work with all the kids for several hours Saturday morning. One other cost that has to be shared is the liability insurance for the weekend. The $50 registration fee per family already paid is being used to cover those two costs.
We know that LAPA events are not financially possible for some families; please reach out to either Co-President or others involved in events to ask about waiving of some or all costs.
